What does the Bible say about
Justification?  Where in the Bible can I find verses on
		Justification? What does the
church of Christ teach about Justification? Scriptures on Christian
Justification have been assembled and published here.  The Bible is
always its own best commentary. When considering the topic of Christian
Justification, it is important to note that we do not learn everything
about it and what its significance is from any single context.  To
gain a thorough understanding we must consider all of what the inspired
writers taught about Justification and put it all together into a single
doctrinal teaching and then apply it correctly to our lives.  All
scripture references are from the KJV unless otherwise noted.
      Justification is...
      Justification is the process of
being made just.  Someone who is justified has been made Just.
Someone who is just is without blame.  A comprehensive study of
scripture relating to justification reveals what it is and how mankind is
justified in the sight of God.
      Justification is the
      forgiveness of Sins:
"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this
man [Jesus] is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:  And by him
all that believe are justified from all things..." (Acts 13:38-39).
      Justification is the gift of
      God's Grace:
"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which
receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in
life by one, Jesus Christ.)  Therefore as by the offence of one
judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness
of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life" (Romans
5:17-18).  "That being justified by his grace, we should be made
heirs according to the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:7).
      Justification is through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
"Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a
propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for
the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
      (Romans 3:24-25).
      Justification brings Peace:
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).
      Justification makes us heirs of
      Eternal Life:
"That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs
according to the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:7).
      Justification is produced by
      Christ's Blood:
"Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
      wrath through him" (Romans 5:9)
      Justification is made possible
      by Christ's Resurrection:
"Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our
      justification" (Romans 4:25).
      Justification is by faith:
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds
of the law (Romans 3:28).  "Therefore being justified by faith, we
have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).
      Justification is something we
      seek:
"But if, while we seek to be justified by
Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the
minister of sin? God forbid" (Galatians 2:17).
Justification will be by the words
      we speak:
"For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be
      condemned" (Matthew 12:37).
      Justification is for those who
      Humble themselves:
"I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted" (Luke 18:14).
      Belief is a condition for
      justification:
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the
faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we
might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the
law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified (Galatians
      2:16).
      Works is a condition
      of Justification:
"Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered
Isaac his son upon the altar?  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith
made perfect?  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and
it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of
God.  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith
only.  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had
received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?  For as
the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also"
      (James 2:21-26).

Justification is not by the law of Moses:
"And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which
ye could not be justified by the law of Moses" (Acts 13:39).
Justification is by the law of
      Faith:
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay:
but by the law of faith.  Therefore we conclude that a man is
justified by faith without the deeds of the law (Romans 3:27-28).
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the
law shall be justified (Romans 2:13).
      The Justified shall live by
      Faith:
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from
faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans
      1:17).
      The Justified must remain
      faithful:
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul
shall have no pleasure in him.  But we are not of them who draw back
unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul
      (Hebrews 10:38-39).
      The Justified shall be
      resurrected unto life eternal:
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there
shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust (Acts
24:15).  Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all
that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they
that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have
done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
      When I stand before God
"justified", I stand "just as if I'd" never sinned.
